I am forever thankful for my parents and my husbands. I love displaying pictures of them when they were young and happy! My husband's parents have both gone to be with the Lord. Both of our parents divorced when each of us was an adult, it is difficult no matter the age! I will continue to put the"couple" pictures on display because that is how I want to see them I love them and they love my and that is all that matters.
It is nice to display pic of our family happy! My mom's mom and dad went thru a divorce after 45 years of marriage. I was just 10. It was really hard on my mom-people weren't getting divorced like that then and it was a difficult time. We have to remember the happy times to make it thru the bad.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your decision to continue to display and enjoy pics of the couples in happier times... after all, it was their love that made "you" and your "husband" ... divorces are tough, but hopefully the split couples find happiness beyond the divorce.
ReplyDeleteI think it's nice to remember the good times, and they were a couple while you were young, so why not display their photo? I'm grateful for the love my parents demonstrated everyday, and pattern my own relationship after theirs.
